A practice of resistance and care

I found myself this week, teaching about balance in my classes, and then not feeling so balanced myself. Having a sinus infection and feeling overwhelmed with a project winding up over the weekend. Left me feeling out of energy and low on what to do for myself? Each day I hit my mat, I did restorative but it wasn't doing it. So I did what I call "my run home to mama". I turned to my iyengar practices and of course, knew I was feeling a lot of resistance to being sick. So I worked on those poses I feel resistance in. Seated poses! How illuminating, and "balancing" for me after I was done. Here it is headstand, shoulder stand, Upavista konasana(open angle ff), dandasana(staff pose), Buddha konasana( (butterfly pose), sukasana with a twist. And of course, relaxation pose.
